The Community Settlement worker provides help and information in a wide range of areas including:
- Settlement information
- Immigration
- Citizenship
- Income support and finance
- Torture and trauma counselling
- Childcare and Youth issues
- Aged care
- Legal and Police issues
- Employment, education and training
- Accommodation and housing
- Driving Program
Education Facilities
The centre develops programs in response to the expressed needs and in accord with the skills offered by its staff. Currently we offer:
- General English (reading, writing, listening & speaking)
- Computer skills (First and Second Click programs)
- Women Together program
- Multicultural craft classes
- Life skills for Living in Australia
- Cooking & Sewing classes
- Various workshops (depending on need)
- Refugee and Aboriginal Youth Activity programs
The four areas of study are:
- Language - English as a Second Language classes
- Computer Laboratory - 1st & 2nd Click
- Lifeskills for Living in Australia education sessions, including cooking
- Driving eduation
