The Edmund Rice Centre Mirrabooka Youth Leadership Group aims to encourage young people to become good and moral role models that others will look up to.

Following the ideal of “One Leader, One Community”, these young people will affect change first of all in themselves, and then within their communities.

They will be given comprehensive training and support so that they can reach their full potential. They will also be given training in many different areas including coaching, refereeing, media and other important life-skills.

The Leadership Group aims to be a positive alternative to the many negative lifestyle choices available to young people.

The Leaders are taught to recognize that to change others they must first change themselves, that good qualities must shine from them, and that they are all pillars holding up something wonderful, their good work.
